Frequently asked questions

Have questions? We have answers.

Where can I find your work?

We are available 24/7 online and do not currently have a brick-and-mortar location. You can visit our event page for upcoming shows around DC, where we sell in person at art markets throughout the year. You can also visit our retailers and galleries page to see Jorge’s art on display around town.

Do you make custom pieces? Can I commission a painting orother work?

Yes. Jorge is happy to discuss commissions. Pricing is based on canvas size, design complexity, and requested timeline. Canvases are available in sizes ranging from 9”x12” to 36”x48”. To request a custom piece, please email info@jorgehqzart.com for more information and pricing. Please allow 6–8 weeks for completion. All commissioned pieces are final sale and require a 50% nonrefundable deposit before work begins.

How should I frame or hang my print or canvas?

For framing, you can find an inexpensive option at Goodwill or another secondhand store, visit a craft store such as Michaels, order from Framebridge online or in person, or choose a local DC frame shop such as 18th Street Framing (1901 18th St. NW).

For hanging, if you would like to display your canvas without a frame, we can attach D-rings and wire to the back for easy hanging upon request. Canvases can also be hung with a simple nail or two, and for smaller pieces we may recommend a sawtooth hanger. Let us know if you would like this service added to your order.
